Advanced Case/Name Search

The Advanced Case and Name Searches are powerful search tools that deliver results in an expandable/collapsible report that makes information easy to view at a glance. These reports allow you to refine your search by defining a number of very specific search parameters.

Performing an Advanced Case/Name Search

  1. Click Advanced Case/Name Search in the Search group of the Explorer Toolbar.
  2. Specify your search criteria.
Note: Options in the drop-down menus are set to Select All by default. If you want to specify a certain field, clear Select All and then specify desired criteria. Fields selected as NULL will return all results in that category. To specify that field, clear NULL and enter search criteria.
  3. Click View Report.
A report will be generated on the bottom half of the screen. By default, only the first 100 results will displayed in the report. You can change this by specifying how many results you want to view in the Limit of Rows Returned box in the search parameters. Additionally, you can search within the results report by typing criteria in the box on the right side of the report toolbar and clicking Find or Next.
  4. Navigate through the reports by clicking the + and - signs to the left of the search results.

Clicking on a plus sign next to a category will drop down all the cases/names in that category.

Clicking on a plus sign next to a case/name will drop down a brief summary of that case/name.

  5. Click on the hyperlinks to open the name/case session.
