Involved People

JustWare sessions can involve people at many levels. People can be related to names, cases, events, correspondences, and tasks, making it easy to quickly record and reference information about an involved person.

Involving people in events, correspondences, and tasks ensures that the name session calendar of each involved person and the case session calendar for each related case are up-to-date, listing all applicable events. Involving people also ensures that your agency's automated documents are accurate and up-to-date.

Involving Names with Events, Tasks, and Correspondences

  1. Click the Involved People snap-in within the Calendar, Correspondence, or Task snap-in in any JustWare session. Be sure you have the correct event, task, or correspondence in focus.
  2. Add a new record.

  3. Select or type all required and relevant data for each available field. Some fields may be required while others are not.
  4. Save the session.

Note: You cannot involve the same person multiple times on the same record.

Inline Event Involved People Snap-in

Depending on your JustWare configuration, you may have access to the Inline Event Involved People snap-in. This snap-in is designed differently than the standard snap-in.

  1. Navigate to the Events, Correspondence, or Tasks snap-in in any JustWare session. Be sure you have the correct event, task, or correspondence row in focus.
  2. Click in the Involved Name(s) field for the record row. Note: You will not be able to type in this field.
  3. Click the Involve Name(s) button Involve Person button. An Involving Names on Event screen opens, which shows any names already involved with the event.
  4. Add a new record.

  5. Select or type all required and relevant data for each available field. Some fields may be required while others are not.
  6. You may choose to continue adding records to the Event Involved People snap-in. When you are done involving names for the event, click Update Name(s) in the Actions group of the Explorer toolbar. All involved names appear as a comma separated list in the Involved Name(s) field.
  7. Save the session.

Note: The Involving Names on Event  screen is not a session, but a temporary screen to facilitate involving name records. Clicking Update Name(s) adds the newly involved names to the event but does not save the changes to the event. Edit Multiple Records and Copy Record are not available on this screen, and menu options cannot be filtered using code partitioning. To refresh you will need to refresh the main Events snap-in, not the Involving Names on Event screen.
