Accounting Tools

The Accounting Tools group in the Explorer toolbar contains quick links to convenient financial tools. Common tools, available depending on your permissions, include Agency Account, Payments, Pending Payments, and Voucher.

Note: These tools will only appear in your Explorer toolbar if you have been given permission to view them. Talk to your JustWare Administrator for more information.

Agency Account : This tool can be used to assign accounts to agencies. The agencies have to be account owners and have an associated name record.

See "Agency Account" for more information about agency accounts.

Voucher:JustWare is equipped with a tool that allows you to track name records that have funds in an overpay account, are entitled to restitution, or are owed any other payment from your organization.

See "Vouchers" for more information about vouchers.

Payments The Payments section of the Accounting Tools group provides multiple tools that are designed to handle all aspects of payments in JustWare. The following tools are available in the Payments section:

  • Case Payments: The Case Payments tool provides a streamlined method for entering multiple payments across case records without searching for and opening name records first. This tool utilizes a case search to retrieve the desired record and enable payment entry.
  • Non-Case Payments:The Non-Case Payments tool is used to take payments that are not tied to financial obligations on a case. For example, this tool could be used to take payments for a photocopy fee.
  • Payment History:View a history of all payments made in JustWare. Payments can also be voided from this session.
  • Pending Payments: Manage all payments that were paid by check and are awaiting funding.

Deposits: JustWare Deposits allows you to create deposits from payments that have been taken in JustWare. The Deposit tool consists of two sections:

  • Creating Deposits: A tool that allows you to enter information and filter off various criteria to include only those payments into a JustWare deposit. Deposits are created with a Pending status and can be later set to Posted or Voidat which point they are moved to the Deposit History.
  • Deposit History: The Deposit History snap-in displays all Posted and Voided deposits.
